TOYCON 2015 is an annual Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention organized by The Asian Comics, Toys and Hobbies Collective Inc.  This was held last June 19, 20 & 21 at the Megatrade Halls 1-2-3 of the SM Megamall. 

 

             The event was officially opened by a ribbon cutting ceremony headed by Mr. Sherwin dela Cruz and Abby Enriquez followed by a parade of cosplayers.

 

 

 

 

             ToyCon 2015 was a big success and we all look forward to the next year’s ToyCon which will be held at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia.

             “Formed in 2002, they organize toys, comics and anime related events in Manila.  The main objective of this group is to promote interest in the collection and display of all types of comics, toys, movies, animation, games and related childhood memorabilia; and to maintain a network of collectors to help members keep in touch with each other and advance the collecting hobby.”

 

 

 

 

             The event was filled with collectors, hobby shop owners, different community groups and clubs.  ToyCon pioneered the customized action figure contest, cosplay group contest, Inter school animation contest, inter school comics creation contest, Toy photography contest, toy shows and exhibits, character creation contest, battle of the tribute band contest, fan film contest, toy designer contest, cosplay photography contest, artist awards and the convention itself.
