I am so grateful to be invited on this event.  Thank you very much to Julian.  I met fellow Tomica collectors from Singapore and also fellow Filipinos based in Singapore, who are also members of DCPH (Diecast Car Collectors of the Philippines). 

 

The event is very well organized.  Julian, KenBox and the staff were tired for hours standing and attending to all of us.  I can say it was a very successful event.

 

Congratulations to Julian Edison Lim of Go! Go! Tomica, KenBox and the staff, Peter Ng Chern Liang of Let’s Play and the rest of the gang who made the event a success!

Go! Go! Tomica, in cooperation with Let’s Play, had its first event by bringing Ken Box (from Japan) to Singapore last July 26, 2015 from 11am to 5pm.

 

 

 

 

Upon arrival from Manila, I went straight to the event just before the sales booth opens.  Julian, KenBox and the rest of the staff were getting ready.  About 500 to 1000 pieces of Tomicas were brought from Japan.  Members were just waiting for the cue to start.  I queued for a number.  At exactly 11am, the ball starts rollng. 

 

 

 

 

The first few numbers on queue were called.  And to give chance to other members, the first round were only given a maximum of five (5) unit purchase.  You have to queue for another number for the next round, this time you are given a maximum of ten (10) unit purchase.

Members who brought their Let’s Play Membership Cards were given a 5% discount on the total Sales.  Go! Go! Tomica members were given SG$5.00 off for every SG$50.00 spent, provided they confirmed their attendance prior to the event.  Payment were made inside Let’s Play Counter, and the receipt were showed to claim your purchased items.

 

It was also an opportunity for me to buy some Tomica stuffs from Let’s Play.
